• 『 音楽戦士 MUSIC FIGHTER 』にはこれまでSMAP・KinKi Kids（ 堂本光一・ENDLICHERI☆ENDLICHERIによる、個々の出演を含む）・V6・嵐・タッキー&翼・NEWS・関ジャニ∞・KAT-TUN・山下智久・テゴマス・Hey! Say! JUMPが出演している。
• テレビ東京の音楽番組には、1980年代までは盛んに出演していたが、1990年代以降出演がない。例外として、関ジャニ∞はデビュー以来、毎年7月に行われる「 夏祭りにっぽんの歌 」に出演している。また、関ジャニ∞は2007年4月より、同局で音楽バラエティ番組「 おもてなし音楽バラエティ むちゃ∞ブリ! 」をレギュラー番組として持っていた。

デビューするまでは、たとえ単独でコンサートを行えるほどの人気があっても、 マネージャーはつかない。仕事の移動も送迎は一切行わず、各々が電車などで移動する。事実、滝沢秀明がジャニーズJr.時代に、連続ドラマに主演していたときも、マネージャーはおらず、滝沢本人が電車で移動していた。現在はジャニーズJr.担当のマネージャーもいるが、人気のJr.に限ってマネージメントしてくれる。ただし掛け持ちのため送迎程度で帰ってしまうことが多い。

ジャニーズ事務所では、社長に認められればいきなりテレビ出演もかなうため、下積み時代（テレビなどに出られない時期等）が少なくても人気が出るチャンスが多いが、「若いうちから売れたとしても、甘やかさない」という事務所の方針で徹底管理されている。

また、「学業と芸能活動を両立できないものは、仕事をさせない。」というポリシーがあり、原則として芸能活動のために学校を休むことを禁止している。そのため、芸能活動をしながら高校や大学を卒業しているタレントも多い。ただ、芸能活動と学業の両立ができないと判断して、高校・大学を中退したり、進学をしないタレントもいる。

タレントが進学などの理由で事務所を退所しても、その事実はファンにはいっさい知らされない（ 小原裕貴に関しては発表されたが、極めて稀な例である）。その為ファンは、タレントがコンサートに出演しなくなった、雑誌への掲載がなくなったなどの情報から退所を予測することしか出来ず、ほぼ退所が確定したと思われる後のコンサート等でも、他タレントが退所したタレントに関するコメントをすることは出来ないため、日が経過してもタレントの退所を受け入れることが難しいファンも多く存在する。

最近では生田斗真や風間俊介などグループに属さず演技を中心に活動する者もいる。 （ジャニーズ事務所の一員ではあるが、最近は役者の仕事がメインとなっている。）

1980年に当時ジャニーズ事務所に所属していた田原俊彦が初出場して以来、2009年でジャニーズ事務所に所属するアーティストが30年連続でNHK紅白歌合戦に出場することになる。

若手の所属アイドルを中心に、セミヌードのグラビアを女性向け芸能誌だけでなく、テレビ情報誌にも掲載する事がよく見られる。他の芸能プロダクションのアイドルでもたまにやっている事ではあるが、ジャニーズ事務所の所属アイドルでは特に顕著である。

原宿などの若者たちで賑わう町には「ジャニーズ非公式グッズ販売店」が並んでいる。所属アイドルの写真や、グッズなどを販売している。ほとんどの場合は地下や2階など、すぐには見つけづらい、または入りにくい位置に店がある。 ^{[ 要出典 ] [Citation needed]}
