岡本 螢 （おかもと ほたる、女性、 1956年 - ）は、 劇作家 、 脚本家 、 漫画原作者 、 作家 。 Hotaru Okamoto (Firefly and may you, women, 1956 -) is a writer drama, American writer, from the original comic writer. 東京都 日本橋出身。 From Nihonbashi, Tokyo. なお、 岡本蛍という表記は誤りである。 The notation is wrong Hotaru Okamoto.

日本大学藝術学部演劇学科卒業。 Graduated from Faculty of Drama Arts at Nihon University. 1975年、19歳の時に「半変化束恋道中」でテアトル・エコー創作戯曲募集入選。 1975, at age 19 "Love flux changes along the way half" recruiting drama prize in creative Echo Theater.

江戸を舞台としたミュージカル作品を発表し劇作家として活躍。 He published the work as a playwright and stage musicals Edo. その後はテレビ・ラジオドラマの原作脚色にも携わる。 Then is also involved in radio drama adaptation of the original television.

1992年 、映画化された代表作『 おもひでぽろぽろ 』で日本アカデミー賞特別賞受賞。 1992, was representative of his film Only Yesterday 『Hidehito』 main prize at Japan Academy Awards special.

現在、読売演劇大賞の選考委員を勤める。 Currently working for the Yomiuri Theater Award selection committee.
